Thank you for joining All of Us, our first virtual gathering!

YOU are the heart in Variety Care and your help is needed now more than ever as our state and country begin a return to normal in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are excited to unveil our 2020 documentary All of Us. This short presentation set across Oklahoma City, Edmond, and our patient-centered medical home, features inspiring stories of hope and resilience from two Variety Care patients: Josue and Matt.

20-year-old Josue is the backbone of his family. He cares for his elderly grandfather while maintaining a full workload at the University of Oklahoma. His grandfather’s unexpected infection with COVID-19 introduced Josue to Amie Torres, PA, and a new family of supporters at Variety Care. The chance encounter had a lasting impact on Josue and set the course for an unexpected mentorship.

Matt  was living what many believed to be a picturesque life. Secretly, he was battling an addiction that was slowly killing him. In 2013, Matt was introduced to Dr. Foote and began a long road to recovery. Today, his future is bright and he’s helping others reclaim lives once lost.

It Takes All of Us

Thank you for joining our virtual gathering today to hear and see how Variety Care is making an impact in the lives of the people we serve.  Variety Care is committed to Quality, Teamwork, Compassion and Inclusiveness in the way we treat each other and our community.

It takes all of us to make our communities healthier, and at Variety Care we stand ready to do just that. Josue and Matt are just two stories from the hundreds of thousands of individuals who also continue to show resilience in the face of great obstacles.

Variety Care’s long history of overcoming barriers and obstacles for people who need us has shown up this year. It’s been revealed in our ability to overcome the challenges brought on by these troubling and uncertain times. We’ve been standing with individuals and families during times of doubt since 1932.

Our mission to make quality health care affordable and accessible has been particularly difficult over these last several months, but our perseverance and flexibility has allowed us to remain strong. We will continue to show up for patients who need our help. Your contributions make that happen.

It takes a dedicated staff, a courageous board, and a generous community to provide access for 120,000 people. Your financial investment in our mission will sustain and expand health care services to some of Oklahoma’s most vulnerable populations. Together, we can do much good. Join us.
