What's SoonerSelect?
For those who may not be aware, SoonerSelect is the new and improved version of the Oklahoma Medicaid program, previously known as SoonerCare. With SoonerSelect, you’ll need to choose a plan and you will receive a physical or digital enrollee ID card that you’ll need to take with you to all your health care visits.
Don’t worry – Variety Care will accept all SoonerSelect plans so your relationship with us will not change.
Dental Plan Options – Your Gateway to a Healthy Smile
Under SoonerSelect, members can choose between two Managed Care dental plans: DentaQuest and Liberty Dental. It's essential to understand the offerings of each plan to make an informed decision about your dental coverage. Let's break down the dental plan options so you can make a decision.
Coverage Highlights
All dental plans include the following services. Note – this is not an all-inclusive list and each plan may offer additional services.
- Cleanings, Fluoride varnish and Xray’s
- Dental sealants (enrollees 0 - 20)
- Routine & Urgent dental services
- Restorative fillings - limits on for enrollee 21 and older
- Anesthesia when medically necessary
- Removable dental prosthetics (requires a PA)
- Orthodontic Services under SoonerCare policy (requires a PA)
- Tabacco cessation 5 A’s counseling
- Indian Health Care Providers (IHCP) & Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) services
DentaQuest
What's Included:
- Wellness Benefits including a pregnancy program.
- Child Benefits including receiving gift cards for cavity prevention.
- 24/7 Teledentistry to answer questions you might have.

- Extended coverage for 21-year-olds aging out of children’s SoonerSelect benefits.

Action #2: Select Your Dental Plan
When: Now through January 10, 2024.
You have until January 10, 2024, to choose between DentaQuest and Liberty Dental. Log into your SoonerCare portal to choose a plan or call the SoonerCare hotline, (800) 987-7767. Rest assured, Variety Care will accept both plans so there is no need to change your dental provider or switch clinics. Don’t be caught without coverage!
