Oklahoma Caring Vans Partner with Variety Care
Oklahoma City, Okla. — The Oklahoma Caring Foundation is pleased to announce a new operating partnership with Variety Care, Inc.
Through this partnership, the Oklahoma Caring Foundation’s signature Caring Van program will collaborate with Variety Care’s nursing staff to provide access to preventive health services—like immunizations—to qualifying children and adults in Oklahoma City and surrounding counties.
“Too many Oklahomans don’t have access to preventive health services due to barriers including cost, transportation and restrictive clinic hours,” said Lou Carmichael, executive director of Variety Care. “Our new partnership with the Caring Vans will allow us to bring critical services to the families we serve where they spend their days: schools, child care centers and community organizations.”
The new affiliation features co-branded vans that will provide consistent, year-round access to preventive health services.
“In 23 years, the Oklahoma Caring Foundation has provided more than 223,000 Oklahoma children with over 370,000 immunizations,” shared Oklahoma Caring Foundation Executive Director Brooke Townsend. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Variety Care to continue to improve the health of Oklahomans.”
