Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
Women, infants, and Children (WIC) is a free supplemental nutrition program. If you or your child receive Medicaid (SoonerCare), SNAP, or TANF, you are automatically eligible for WIC benefits. This program provides nutritious foods for eligible pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, and children 5 years of age and under. In addition, WIC provides nutrition and healthy lifestyle education in one-on-one appointments and group classes. These classes help educate women, reducing premature births, miscarriages, and helping babies begin their path to a healthy lifestyle.
Individuals may also receive referrals to other social and health services through WIC.
