Variety Care is proud to welcome two new providers to their telehealth and urgent care departments. Variety Care is meeting the needs of its patients by offering virtual healthcare for patients who may have transportation or mobility issues, as well as urgent care on the northwest side of the Oklahoma City metro.

Apr. 12, 2023, Oklahoma City, OK– Variety Care will hold a no-cost Open House event Apr. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Variety Care Putnam, located at 11220 N. Rockwell Avenue. This kick-off to Summer Child Wellness will feature snow cones, face painting, a photobooth, a raffle, and will focus on the importance of pediatric care and immunizations.

Variety Care celebrated the opening of Variety Care Putnam during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 28. The community health center currently offers pediatrics and urgent care and will be expanding to include women’s health and family medicine services. Variety Care Putnam, located at 11220 N Rockwell Ave., is now open and accepting patients

Variety Care is proud to welcome Sheleatha M. Taylor-Bristow, MD, MPH, to Oklahoma’s largest community health center as the director of family medicine. Taylor-Bristow assumed her role on Sept. 12 and will be seeing patients at Variety Care’s Britton Health Center in November.

The Oklahoma Caring Foundation’s signature Caring Van program will collaborate with Variety Care’s nursing staff to provide access to preventive health services—like immunizations—to qualifying children and adults in Oklahoma City and surrounding counties.

Variety Care is partnering with the Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD) to increase access to family medicine, sexual health, and community-based health care services for adults and adolescents in northwest Oklahoma City.

Variety Care will host a first dose Back-to-School Vaccine Clinic for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine Saturday, Aug. 14 at Straka Terrace, located at 1025 Straka Terrace.

Variety Care, Inc. is accepting SoonerCare patients. Now, eligible adults can be approved for SoonerCare benefits through Medicaid expansion at Variety Care.

Variety Care, Inc. will receive up to $13.8 million in funding as part of a large COVID-relief effort from the Biden-Harris Administration’s America Rescue Plan. Award allocations will be granted based upon eligible costs associated with providing care during the pandemic. Funding will help Variety Care expand access to COVID-19 vaccinations, testing, and treatment for populations with limited access to health care.

Variety Care expands access to Oklahoma’s rural population through the hiring of a new family medicine provider. Dr. Alejandra De Santiago is accepting patients now at Variety Care’s Anadarko Health Center, located at 718 W. Petree Road, Anadarko, OK 73005.

This month, Variety Care will hold multiple flu events across five health centers in Oklahoma City. The first flu event will take place Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Variety Care Straka Terrace.
